Here you find Holger Rune photos from different stages of his career – from the practice court in 2019, through the clay seasons in Monte-Carlo and Paris, to the US Open, the Swiss Indoors in Basel and the summer of 2025 in Washington. All pictures come from Wikimedia Commons and are published under free licences. Every caption names the photographer and the licence.
Holger Rune photos from 2019 to 2022
The earliest pictures show Holger Rune in the years when he went from the best junior in the world to a breakthrough on the ATP Tour. In 2019 he won the boys’ singles at the French Open, and in 2022 he came through qualifying in Monte-Carlo and won his first main-draw match there.

At the 2022 French Open he beat Denis Shapovalov in the first round and Stefanos Tsitsipas in the fourth before Casper Ruud stopped him in the quarter-finals. That autumn he won the Paris Masters – the full story is on the page about Holger Rune’s career.
2023: Monte-Carlo and the US Open
In April 2023 Holger Rune reached the final of the Monte-Carlo Masters, beating Daniil Medvedev and Jannik Sinner on the way. Two of the photos were taken on the practice courts by the Mediterranean during that week – at the time Patrick Mouratoglou was his coach.

The US Open photos were taken on 28 August 2023 in the first round, which he lost to Roberto Carballés Baena. Just a week earlier he had become world No. 4 – the highest ranking a Danish man has ever reached. All his years in New York are on the page about Holger Rune at the US Open.
Swiss Indoors Basel 2024
In Basel Holger Rune reached the final in 2022 and the semi-finals in both 2023 and 2024, and the photo at the top of the home page was taken here too. The Swiss Indoors is an ATP 500 tournament on indoor hard courts at the end of October.

Washington 2025: practice with his childhood coach
In July 2025 Holger Rune practised at the Washington Open in the United States. On the practice court was Lars Christensen, his coach at Skovshoved IF from the age of six. Everyone who has coached him over the years is listed on the page about Holger Rune’s coach.

A few months later, on 18 October 2025, he ruptured his Achilles tendon in Stockholm. There are no free photos from his 2026 comeback yet – when some appear, we will add them here.
Where to find official Holger Rune photos
For the newest pictures after each match, the official sources are the quickest:
- ATP Tour – his player profile and the news on atptour.com and in the ATP app.
- The tournaments’ own websites and social media accounts.
- Tennis Danmark and the Davis Cup team when he plays for Denmark.
- His own official social media accounts.
- Danish media, which use agency pictures from Ritzau Scanpix, for example.
Be careful with fan pages and image-search results: pictures are often cropped, mislabelled or taken from a different year. Check the date and the tournament before you share a picture.
